It’s definitely a sad say for all of us who remember film photography! The Kodak Eastman company has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. While this allows the company to restructure its debt and continue with its operation, this is unfortunate news for an iconic American business. Kodak created photography as we know by marketing its first roll of film for consumer use.

It’s been a turbulent week for the Eastman Kodak Company. They filed lawsuits against Apple and HTC and had a major reorganization change. Kodak owns the rights to many patents and provides licensing agreements to over 30 companies. Their digital imaging technology is found in popular mobile devices sold by LG, Motorola, Samsung and Nokia, just to name a few.
