Hi my name is Patrick. I maintain this site along with the help of my team of graphic artists, writers, and photographers.
I grew up in New Jersey and currently live in sunny South Florida (USA). It's about a 30 minute drive to South Beach or short plane ride to the Caribbean island of the Bahamas. I love the tropical weather here but still can't get used to wearing shorts & shirts on Christmas day. My friends and family who live way up north feel a bit different when they feel weather dip below zero!
I love working out and leading a healthy lifestyle. I've been a Dallas Cowboys (American football)fan ever since Tony Dorsett #33 was the starting runningback. I also enjoy MMA and boxing and still waiting for Lebron to win his 1st NBA championship with the Miami Heat- no hate mail please (lol).
Technical and Educational Background
I have a Bachelor's degree in Finance and became a Series 7 licensed stock broker after graduation. Later on in my career in corporate America, I began working for a major credit card company as a computer programmer. On the tech side, I learned ASP.Net, SQL Server, C#, and stored procedures among other things. I built this site using one of the web's most powerful cms (content management system) Joomla® !
My Photography Experience
I love photography. More importantly I love "creating pictures" and not just pointing and shooting. I met a professional photographer years ago who worked in the fashion industry with bikini models. He would sometimes asked me to be his assistant. I'll admit that it was a tough job but someone had to step up to the plate and do it :-)
He had the ability to take an average person you would see in the streets and transform that picture into a work of art. It was about this time that I upgraded my point and shoot and bought a Nikon digital SLR. When I included different types of lens and accessories, it was well over $5,000. I don't consider myself a professional but a serious amateur. After I got my DSLR, I began shooting all the time. My hometown has beautiful beaches, landscapes, architecture, and nightlife. There's beauty in every part of the world as long as you open your eyes; however, being a photographer in South Florida makes it breath taking!
